Optometry Represented at Scholar’s Day 2019

ASCO is part of Health Professions Week (HPW), a free, on-demand event for high school and college students who are exploring a career in the health professions. ASCO staff and volunteers represent the optometric profession and is part of the marketing subcommittee for the HPW committee.
On Saturday, August 10, ASCO staff manned the HPW booth during the National Society of High School Scholars (NSHSS) Scholar’s Day in National Harbor, Md. High school students and their parents learned more about the professions represented and all the wonderful things optometry has to offer and hopefully became interested in the free and interactive events offered during HPW, Nov. 16-21.
