Steele Honored for Half Century Mark

Southern College of Optometry Professor Dr. Glen Steele was honored in September as he celebrated 50 years of service on the college’s faculty. A 1969 SCO graduate, Dr. Steele joined the faculty 50 years ago. Over a half century, he’s taught thousands of students, seen just as many pediatric patients and lectured around the world. He was inducted earlier this year into the Optometry Hall of Fame. He wants his colleagues to know that he has no plans for retirement and is still going strong.
