2020 J. Pat Cummings Scholarship Recipients Announced
Johnson & Johnson Vision, in collaboration with the American Academy of Optometry Foundation, announces the 2020 J. Pat Cummings Scholarship recipients.
Each year for the last 10 years, this award is given to 20 second- or third-year optometry students who best demonstrate the ideal eye care standards. These standards are shown in practice, achievements in both academic performance and extra-curricular activities, and participation with other professional pursuits such as involvement with patients through internships, community service and other volunteer activities.
“Dr. Cummings was passionate about his profession and would be pleased that a long-lasting commitment to students and their optometric careers has been forged through the support of the Foundation and Johnson & Johnson Vision in his memory,” said Dr. Carol Alexander, Head, North America Professional Relations at Johnson & Johnson Vision.
