CooperVision Opens Applications for its 2022 Best Practices Scholarship Program

As part of its ongoing commitment to supporting the education of future eye care professionals, CooperVision is accepting applications for its 2022 Best Practices Student Scholarship Program. Now in its third year, the program serves as an extension of the company’s Best Practices initiative, which celebrates the innovative ways that U.S. eye care practices deliver exceptional patient care and advance the profession, bringing them together to share their insights with their peers.

Each year, three scholarship recipients attend the annual Best Practices Summit, a two-day educational event in which they can meet with and collaborate with the prestigious group of Best Practices honorees. They’re also invited to share their experiences as part of the Best Practices Media Roundtable.

“One of the major benefits of Best Practices is the opportunity to learn from and collaborate with other eye care professionals. The inclusion of students in these discussions has proved to be mutually beneficial. Students are eager to learn from their mentors in the Best Practices Program, and in turn, the honorees usually learn new insights from the scholarship recipients as well,” said Michele Andrews, OD, Vice President, Professional & Government Affairs, Americas, CooperVision.

Applicants must be third-year optometry students currently in good academic standing at a U.S. optometry school who demonstrate exceptional leadership and/or participation in school and community activities, honors, and work experience.

Applications will be accepted through Friday, January 7, 2022. Interested students must submit a current resume and one-minute video explaining their goals to one day impact the field of optometry and discuss how attending the Best Practices Summit can help.
