Updated Resource from Prevent Blindness: Healthy Eyes Educational Series
Prevent Blindness has updated its Healthy Eyes Educational Series, a FREE resource designed to build awareness about eye health and vision basics, common adult vision disorders, eye safety precautions, and proactive behaviors that give the best chance for a lifetime of healthy vision.
The Educational Series – available in English and Spanish – is a modular program broken down by various eye health and safety topics that can be customized to meet audience needs. Each module includes a includes a PowerPoint presentation, a script, pre/post-test, and participant and presenter evaluation forms. The educational topics include:

- Refractive Errors
- Contact Lens Safety
- Adult Eye Disorders
- Low Vision
- Home Safety
- Workplace Safety
- Sports Safety
- Healthy Living, Healthy Vision
These health presentation topics are intended for use by community health educators, outreach workers, public health professionals, community or senior center program directors, occupational health nurses, safety directors, or employers looking for educational material on eye health and safety or seeking to understand more about age-related eye disease.
