Midwestern University Optometry Students Win Prestigious VSP and American Academy of
Optometry Foundation Scholarship
To support the future of optometry, VSP Vision and the American Academy of Optometry Foundation, part of the American Academy of Optometry, teamed up to provide the Practice Excellence Scholarship to 50 top fourth-year optometry students in the United States and Canada. This prestigious scholarship is awarded to students based on their clinical and academic performance, as well as their desire to enter the independent practice of optometry upon graduation.
Two students each from the Arizona College of Optometry (AZCOPT) and the Chicago College of Optometry (CCO) were awarded the Practice Excellence Scholarship: Crystal Epping (AZCOPT ’23), Der Vang (AZCOPT ’23), Hyein Kim (CCO ’23) and Michael Tran (CCO ’23).
