American Academy of Optometry Foundation Now Accepting Applications for
2023 Residency Awards
The American Academy of Optometry Foundation is now accepting requests for applications for its 2023 Residency Awards. Applications must be received by Tuesday, June 1, 2023.
Award opportunities include:
- Douglas Hopkins Primary Care Eye Residency Award – Promotes the practice and development of optometry by providing incentives and financial support to residents who demonstrate commitment to practice, research, and education.
- Alfred A. Rosenbloom, Jr. Low Vision Residency Award – Promotes the practice and development the field of low vision by providing incentives and support to sustain optometric residents demonstrating commitment to practice, research, and education.
- Terrance N. Ingraham Pediatric Residency Award – Funded by Johnson & Johnson Vision, this award is intended to promote the practice and development of the field of pediatric optometry by providing incentives and support to sustain optometric residents who demonstrate commitment to practice, research, and education in the field of children’s vision.
- Sheldon Wechsler & George Mertz Contact Lens Residency Award – Promotes the practice and development of the field of contact lenses by providing incentives and support to sustain optometric residents who demonstrate commitment to practice, research, and education.
- Rhonda Robinson Contact Lens Residency Award – Promotes the practice and development of the field of contact lenses by providing incentives and support to sustain optometric residents demonstrating commitment to practice, research, and education.
- Stan Yamane Family Contact Lens Residency Award – The focus of this award is to support study and training in contact lenses and foster commitment to practice, research, and education.
