VSP Vision Announces 2023 Vision of Hope Scholarship Winner
VSP Vision™, along with the University of Pikeville-Kentucky College of Optometry (KYCO), is proud to announce the winner of the 2023 VSP Vision of Hope Scholarship: Elijah Riffe, class of 2027.
This scholarship is intended for a first-year student at KYCO from the Appalachian region. Applicants need to be committed to practicing in the Appalachian region and providing care to a rural, underserved patient population during their optometric career. Selection is completed by KYCO Faculty’s Scholarship and Awards Committee.
Elijah was awarded the scholarship by the VSP® Schools of Optometry Program team during orientation week. He was awarded $5,000 for his optometric education.
