Arizona College of Optometry Celebrates New Cohort of Optometry Students with White Coat Ceremony
On Saturday, September 30, 68 first-year students from the Arizona College of Optometry (AZCOPT) gathered together on the Midwestern University Glendale Campus to participate in the annual White Coat Ceremony. Every year, AZCOPT faculty ceremoniously present the new cohort with their clinical white coats as a way to honor the beginning of their educational career as optometry students.
In addition to receiving their white coats, the optometry students also recite an oath of commitment, signifying their dedication to professionalism, the highest standards of patient care, and their commitment to lifelong learning.
