VSP Vision Doubles Investment in Student Loan Repayment Program and Opens 2024 Application Period

The VSP Vision™ Student Loan Repayment Program was launched in 2023 to provide student debt relief that can help ODs enjoy financial peace of mind and focus more on delivering exceptional patient care. The $2 million investment provided selected ODs up to $200,000 of debt relief for committing to working in a VSP-owned location or private practice.

With positive response and program success in 2023, VSP Vision is doubling the investment to $4 million to offer even more ODs opportunities for student loan repayment and support staffing in underserved communities where vision care is needed most. 

Optometry school and college graduates have told us that one of the greatest challenges they face is balancing the pressure of significant student debt with the need to find a job that affords them the opportunity to practice their passion and build for their future. This competitive student debt relief offer can help ODs gain financial stability and job security. 

Unlike other loan repayment programs, the VSP Vision Student Loan Repayment Program also promotes and supports private practice by helping private practice ODs who are looking to hire their next optometrist stand out to a wider pool of candidates.
