ASCO 2nd year intern, Joseph Wobus is a student attending the University of Maryland, College Park. He is expected to graduate in May of 2020 with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science. He has enjoyed his work and time at ASCO and is proud of the work he has done as an intern. He is also grateful for the opportunity to work alongside talented and genuine individuals. Although he doesn’t have any direct plans to enter the medical professional field, he learned a lot about how the field is creating a positive impact on the lives of millions of Americans. Ultimately, he shares these goals in using his work to benefit the lives of others one way or another.
In Joseph’s free time, he enjoys watching movies, playing games, and playing on his guitar (which he has recently picked up). He also is an avid crypto enthusiast and has several side projects under his belt related to cryptocurrency. He has been keeping himself busy this summer by working on various side projects as well as working part time as a teacher assistant for a summer class at College Park.
Moving forward, Joseph has big plans to take his work to the west where there are many tech related job opportunities. Using his acquired knowledge with his Computer Science degree, he hopes to apply his knowledge in Computer Science to make big strides in the tech world. He hopes to apply what he has learned at ASCO to advance his professional career and create lifelong connections along the way.
