Actions:

• PH Health course hours will be collected and distributed, as will survey results about PH core competencies covered by each school
• Follow up with NBEO about public health item writers for Part 2 for inclusion of case-based questions
• Remind members to post on ASCO Connect teaching resource folder
• Develop uniform talking points based on NASEM and WHO report
• Seek out funding for next meeting

 Additional Topics Discussed/Speakers:

• Discussion with Pat Segu, chair of vision care of the American Public Health Association, about what they are currently doing and ideas for collaboration
• Discussion with Dean VanNasdale of Prevent Blindness / Center for Vision and Population Health about the mission of the new organization and inclusion of optometric public health educators in the discussion
