Johnson & Johnson Vision Supports ASCO and AAO to help Optometry Students
COVID-19 has had an immense impact across the world, but thankfully the optometric Class of 2020, as well as other classes, were able to continue their clinical education. Clinicians and scientists at Johnson & Johnson Vision stepped up, assisting the American Academy of Optometry (AAO) and the Association of Schools and Colleges of Optometry (ASCO) this spring to provide over 50 hours of virtual education.
The Student Online Clinical Case Education Program courses ran March 26th – May 1st, with almost 7,000 students viewing and participating in the Johnson & Johnson Vision sessions. Recordings of the sessions are available on the ASCO website. A big thanks to the leading scientists and clinicians who rallied to quickly bring non-promotional education to the next generation of optometrists, and a huge congratulations to the Class of 2020!
