Berkeley Optometry Class of 2022 Organizes BLM Donation

Berkeley Optometry is incredibly proud of our Class of 2022 for taking the initiative to organize a school-wide contribution to the Equal Justice Initiative (EJI) in support of the Black Lives Matter movement. Not only did they exceed their original goal of $9,000, but they raised $12,674.17, and every dollar from this donation was matched resulting in a grand total of $25,348.34! This would not be possible without the support of the members and loved ones of our optometry community. We are all grateful to be part of such a strong community that is hungry for justice and change. The EJI challenges racial and economic injustice, provides legal representation to prisoners who may have been wrongly convicted of crimes, and protects basic human rights for the most vulnerable people in American society.
