Dr. Anna-Kaye Logan receives Dr. Margaret Brown Ingram Early Career Development Award
Anna-Kaye Logan, OD, FAAO, FSLS has been selected as the recipient of the 2020 Dr. Margaret Brown Ingram Early Career Development Award. Funding from this generous endowment will be used to support professional development activities critical to the enrichment and enhancement of her career growth at the University of Houston College of Optometry.
The Award will support Dr. Logan’s professional development in gaining skills to conduct evidence-based reviews. She plans to attend an intensive multi-day workshop on methods to develop systematic reviews.

Dr. Logan received her Bachelor of Science in Health degree magna cum laude from the University of North Florida in Jacksonville, Florida. She then graduated from Nova Southeastern University College of Optometry in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, where she completed her Doctor of Optometry degree with Honors and Professional Distinction. She subsequently completed a residency in Cornea and Contact Lenses at the University of Houston College of Optometry (UHCO). Currently, she is a Clinical Assistant Professor and the Program Director of the Cornea and Contact Lenses Residency at UHCO. She is a clinical attending in the Cornea and Contact Lens Service and also instructs students in the laboratory setting. Dr. Logan is a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry and the Scleral Lens Education Society.
“I’m thankful for the opportunity and support to develop my career and expand my knowledge to benefit research, clinical practice and teaching the future of the profession,” Dr. Logan said.
