VSP Global Announces VSP Premier Program Student Business Challenge
The VSP Global® Premier Program is proud to announce the VSP Premier Program Student Business Challenge, a new scholarship specifically for optometry students who are focused on private practice ownership. This scholarship is in partnership with the Association of Practice Management Educators (APME) and the Student Optometric Leadership Network (SOLN). This unique scholarship is part of VSP Global’s commitment to support the next generation of optometrists.
Through the VSP Premier Program Student Business Challenge, one optometry student will be awarded a $10,000 scholarship, plus a travel grant to the annual SOLN Conference. In addition, two runners-up will each be awarded a $5,000 scholarship and a travel grant to the annual SOLN Conference.
Scholarship recipients will be selected based on their business plan and timeline submissions that describe their professional and personal paths to private practice ownership. APME judges will evaluate and select the top three candidates, who will be contacted to present their business plans at the 2022 SOLN Conference where the official winner will be announced.
