Haag-Streit Launches 3D Imaging
Haag-Streit launched its new Imaging Module 910 3D (IM 910 3D), which features a dynamic 3D live-stream, at the American Optometric Association meeting in Nashville in June. The enhanced module comes equipped with a second 4K camera that allows doctors to experience an immersive depth impression, unveiling higher detail, and enabling a richer viewing experience.
The device's capabilities have wide-ranging benefits for providers in practice, optometry professors, and teleconsultants. Through the recording of videos and images in 3D, doctors can gain a more detailed and authentic representation of the slit lamp exam, making the perception of anatomical relationships easier to identify, thereby enhancing the overall clarity and interpretability of the observed content.
Also, optometry teachers can share an enhanced 3D digital view between the monitor and the oculars to allow students to observe relevant details. The ability to stream quality digital videos and images in 3D to multiple residents around the world allows for a collaborative teaching environment.
In addition, the IM 910 3D fully supports remote clinical services, facilitating the virtual consultation between patient and health-care provider. The ability to transmit this immersive 3D experience remotely between teleconsultant and examining clinicians supports new possibilities in eye health care.
