The Future Faculty Program Registration is Now Open

The Future Faculty Program is centered on the unique and important issues that graduate students face as they embark on a career in optometric education and is comprised of formal presentations, workshops, small group discussions, one-on-one mentoring opportunities and shared activities in the areas of teaching and learning, scholarship and academic culture.

Each participant develops a long-term career plan with specific goals, objectives and action strategies. This year, organizers for the Future Faculty Program are collaborating with the Faculty Diversity Initiative Task Force to help mentor underrepresented graduate students through issues they may face while pursuing their career in optometry. Participants are mentored in this process by program leadership.
