On Sunday, November 8, I had the honor of representing ASCO, at the invitation of the National Optometric Association, during a celebration "Honoring an Icon in Optometry Dr. C. Clayton Powell, Sr." It was a wonderful, heartwarming celebration of an amazing life. The following is the eulogy I offered on ASCO's behalf.

The ASCO/NOA/AAO Joint Symposium on Diversity, Equity and Inclusion was held Thursday, Oct. 8 from 1-3 p.m. ET during the American Academy of Optometry’s annual meeting, Academy 2020 At Home.
 
Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, ASCO held its fall meetings virtually.
 
Jane Ann Munroe, OD was recently named the Chair of the ASCO Student Affairs Officers (SAOs) group. Dr. Munroe is the first formal chair of this group due to the change in ASCO’s governance structure. 
 
ASCO’s Optometry Residency Match (ORMatch) opened for applications Oct. 7.
