The CPA Ontario High School Student Recruitment team had a great time connecting with you at the OSCA 2019 Conference on October 17-18, 2019 to inform you of the CPA designation and
career opportunities available with the CPA designation.

What we offer you as a guidance counsellor:

  • Resource Package which includes resources for you, your guidance office, and students regarding the CPA designation
  • Knowledge on the CPA designation to advise students on the career opportunities available with the designation

What we offer your students:

  • Career development resources through our HUBS articles
  • Contests that help build students soft skills and win prizes along the way
  • Events where students can meet CPAs, network, learn of the various professions and industries
    that CPAs work in

Did you know?

  • A CPA designation can still be an option for students who are planning on pursuing a degree in a
subject outside of business or wanting to keep their options open. All they need is a 120-credit
hour degree from a college or university.
    • What this means for you: if students are unsure of their future, want to keep their
options open, or have already accepted a program not in business, finance or in
accounting, they could still pursue a CPA designation once they graduate with their
      degree
  • Our High School Recruitment Team conduct classroom workshops for grade 10, 11 and 12 classes on the CPA designation
    • What this means for you: we can educate students on the opportunities your students can have with the CPA designation – our workshops take up a whole class period
  • Teachers part of our FREE Teacher Colleague Program (TCP) have access to classroom resources.
    • What this means for you: as members of the OCT, you can register as a TCP and get access to resources you can provide to your colleagues, to students interested in developing their skills, or use it in your own classroom if you teach other classes.
