As high school students explore different college and university programs, the pressure to make the "right" decision can be overwhelming. Every student's academic journey is unique, and sometimes, there are unexpected challenges; for example, a student may not get into their first choice of program or school, a program may not be a good fit, or interests can change along the way.

ONTransfer.ca is a free tool developed by the Ontario Council on Articulation and Transfer (ONCAT) that helps students understand how the transfer and pathways system works and uncovers a world of possibilities. With ONTransfer.ca, Guidance Professionals and students can search for program pathways, course transfers, and contact information for every Ontario college, university, and Indigenous Institute.

To support Guidance Professionals, ONCAT has developed the ONTransfer.ca Digital Resource Kit. These downloadable resources provide valuable information about pathways, student mobility, and how ONTransfer.ca can help students reach their academic and career goals. Resources include brochures, videos, artwork for student outreach, and samples of social media posts, equipping you with the tools you need to guide your students confidently.

Guidance Counsellors and teachers assist students tremendously, helping them make informed choices and feel confident in their postsecondary decisions. Ensuring students understand they have options can go a long way to easing their postsecondary concerns. Ultimately, it's their decision, but with ONTransfer.ca, you can help show them the way.
