Engagement Strategy Kits arriving in schools in November!

• Does your school offer a Health & Wellness SHSM?
• Does your school board or co-terminus school board offer Personal Support Worker (PSW) training?

If you answered yes to either of these questions, your school will have received a kit.

The Engagement Strategy kit is designed to encourage students to think about a career in health care while highlighting the flexibility of PSW training. The PSW programs, offered by Ontario school boards provides an excellent gateway to the health care field and can serve as an excellent foundation to further education and career growth.

Kits include:

1. Pop-up Banner: An eye-catching visual designed for guidance offices, career fairs, and other events…useful for engaging students in conversation. 
2. Promotional Brochures: Highlights the rewarding opportunities in health care, with a special emphasis on school boards’ PSW programs. 
3. Swag: Branded items to create excitement and raise awareness during career events. 

The materials contained in the kit are designed to be versatile and engage a range of audiences, including SHSM Health & Wellness students, Grade 10 Careers classes, Coop students and parents/guardians.

Plus, we want to connect with you! We offer opportunities for career presentations and experiential learning activities. Our PSW Champions are available to visit your school, participate in pathway events and speak with students about the opportunities in health care.
