Come and learn more about two important Ontario government programs that can help students pay for postsecondary education in our next webinar offering! The Ontario Student Assistance Program (OSAP) is a $4 billion needs-based financial aid program that supports over 400,000 students annually with postsecondary education costs. The Ontario Learn and Stay Grant is a new program, which is launching in the 2023-24 academic year. This grant will provide up-front funding for tuition, textbooks, and other direct educational costs to students enrolled in priority programs in priority regions in Ontario. Let's help provide options for many students for whom post-secondary education may be financially out of reach. Knowing about these two programs can help open doors to a future that a growing number of students may otherwise not be able to pursue. Don't miss the valuable information that will be shared at this session! Kindly complete the registration form by noon on Monday, November 21st. A Zoom link will be sent to all registrants prior to the webinar date. Resources

Students Can Have Fun While They Learn to Manage Stress with the Stress Busters Program Strong Minds Strong Kids, Psychology Canada (SMSKPC), a brand from The Psychology Foundation of Canada, has been nurturing resiliency in children and youth for almost 50 years. We develop and deliver psychology and evidence-based programs and resources that help children build a solid foundation of mental health before problems or issues begin. Following the success of our Stress Busters pilot year, SMSKPC continues to deliver a unique and timely program for children in grades 4-6 (ages 8-12). Stress Busters was designed from our evidence-based Kids Have Stress Too! (KHST!) program with an added peer-to-peer support component to help kids put their learning into practice. This program has had a positive impact on children’s ability to identify and manage their stress. It provides children and their families with education and support to help them build stress management skills and to foster resilience. This program can be delivered once a week over 8-weeks as an after-school program or 1-hour per day over the span of 5 days as an in-school program. "Stress Busters is a group with many caring, respectful, nice, and very helpful people who give you great, fun, and creative strategies to help manage your stress.” –Participant, 12 years old SMSKPC has received funding from The Quinn Family Future Foundation to be able to reach 750 kids with this program by the end of August 2023. If you are interested in partnering with SMSKPC to bring this program to your school board, please reach out to Pamela Sariyannis, Senior Coordinator of Programs and Community Partnerships Subscribers' Lounge
