INDU Report on Canadian Manufacturing Sector Released May 31

The Standing Committee on Industry, Science and Technology released its report on The Canadian Manufacturing Sector and its urgent need to adapt. Click here to view the report.

As you may recall AMC President, Leah Olson, appeared before the committee last September and included in the report are references to the shortline industry. While these all-party reports are non-binding, they offer recommendations to government on a variety of issues on how to proceed moving forward.

The committee’s final list of recommendations is on page 41 and we are working with the federal government to ensure the agricultural equipment manufacturing industry continues to be strong in Canada.
