Spotlight
We on the Professional Development Committee are dedicated to providing our chapter with interesting, relevant education throughout the year. Our mission is to craft quality experiences for all members, across every aspect of the industry. That could range from one of our career-advancing Educational Experiences (E2), to an intimate, round-table Grab & Go luncheon (G2). From sessions at our annual Mid-Atlantic Conference & Expo (MACE), to displaying our "MPI spirit" in support of Global Meetings Industry Day (GMID), the education team is ever-present.
Members of this committee are involved with all phases of logistical planning: on-site coordination and collaboration with the Marketing/PR Committee to ensure our efforts are enjoyed by the community at large.
Interested in becoming more engaged, but hesitant based on your already-packed schedule? The Professional Development team might be a perfect fit for you! Outside of our monthly committee call, which usually lasts no more than 45 minutes, the time commitment is pretty flexible. Of course, we encourage attendance at our events, but most of the committee’s work is done via email and/or over the phone.
