The Networking Events Committee The Networking Events Committee is MPI Potomac’s newest committee, responsible for the social events that build connections among members and nonmembers. Events we plan include Summer Sizzle, the joint PCMA/MPI fall event, Trivia Night and Derby Days. Committee members help to brainstorm the event components, plan logistics with different suppliers and coordinate with MPI Potomac committees. Volunteering on the committee is a great way to get real-world, event-planning experience and see the progress from start to finish. If you want to hone your event-planning skills, or if you just want to see the behind-the-scenes of planning, the Networking Events Committee is perfect for you! Operation Gratitude connects Americans with Military and First Responders through volunteer projects, acts of gratitude and meaningful engagements. Thanks to the volunteers at MACE, we made 150 paracord survival bracelets for our nation’s deployed troops, veterans, recruit graduates and first responders. They are more than a fashion statement; they can be used to hastily repair equipment and save a life in an emergency. Beyond their practical uses, these bracelets are a constant reminder of the grateful Americans like us supporting them from home. Operation Gratitude has so many wonderful activations from care kits to candy collections — we hope you can learn more online (https://www.operationgratitude.com/) and consider making them a part of your own conference or company party. Here are some real "Success Stories"!

Hilary Chattler
Sales Account Manager
TopGolf National Harbor
Hilary Chattler says she was born for the hospitality industry! She started out as a senior in high school in 2005 in Seal Beach, California, and then got a degree in hotel, restaurant and institutional management. After getting her degree, she got a job as a restaurant manager. She is now a sales account manager for TopGolf National Harbor. The best career advice Chattler has ever received is from her current director, Adam Froemming, who told her to “lean in.” A few of Chattler’s favorite things are visiting her best friend in Boston and eating anything with peanut butter. She also loves listening to reggae music and NPR. One of Chattler's pet peeves is tardiness, so she is always early! If money were no object, Chattler said, “I would somehow have my friends live in the vicinity that I could cook them breakfast every morning.”
