Pamela Bertelson, CMP hails from Burlington, Wisconsin – Chocolate City, USA!
Pamela has been in the hospitality industry for 10 years and the best career advice she has ever received is to “treat everyone like an adult.”
Pamela enjoys vacationing anywhere in the Caribbean. She is currently a Meeting Planner at MedStar Health/SiTEL, but if money were no object, she would be a personal assistant for a drag queen, saying “I would happily carry any drag queen’s purse!”

Janice Jackson is a Charter member of MPI's Association Planners Advisory Board and member of MPI Potomac. She has been with the National Football League Players Association for almost three years. Previously, she worked for the NBA, NFL and the Baltimore Convention Center. What she likes best about her position is to create engaging and unique experiences for her membership.
She joined MPI because through its many resources is so valuable in building relationships, broadening her industry education/knowledge and provides a variety of professioal developemnt opportunities.
When Janice is not working, she is traveling! She describes herself as a wanderlust and has been to all but one continent and has lost count on the countries. Her goal is to finish all 50 states inthe next two years.
When she was a kid, she dreamed of being a lawyer and she excelled in math, chemistry and physics.
The best piece of advice she has ever been given is "Yes is the answer, now what is the question?" She says that this viewpoint has developed within her a strong ability to be resourceful.

This session will discuss the coronavirus and the decisions meeting sponsors are having to make whether the event is a go or no-go and whether the force majeure clause is applicable. Coronavirus Dialogue Series: Event Risk Management in a Post-Pandemic World April 29 As the world recovers from the current crisis, and clients start to hold events again, identifying and reducing risk in the post-coronavirus period will be vital to ensure safety, reputation, financial viability. This session discusses the importance of an integrated and formalized risk management process in event planning, as well as some of the new risks and associated contingencies that are likely to be the new norm for events in the near future. |
