Orient Starting Up Renovated Digital Photo Paper Line at China Mill

Orient Paper, owner and operator of the Hebei Baoding Orient Paper Milling Co. (HBOP), Baoding, China, reports that it will startup its renovated digital photo paper production line early next month. The company also appointed Manhua Zhang chief engineer of the production line. Zhang, who will manage the launch and operation of the line, has more than 20 years of experience in digital photo paper production, having led R&D at the China National Pulp and Paper Research Institute, focusing on papermaking wet-end chemistry, digital photo paper technical improvement, fruit bag paper research and development, and optimization of production processes for offset, writing, and high-level candy wrapping paper. The renovation project at Baoding included optimizing coating machines and rebuilding coating chemical storage tanks. Founded in 1996, HBOP produces corrugating medium, offset printing paper, writing paper, and other paper and packaging-related products in China.
