Golden Label Award Competition Announced

The seventh annual Golden Label Award competition for outstanding technical achievement and creative design in label production, has been announced by Brigl & Bergmeister GmbH, Niklasdorf, Austria. Entries are invited from all those involved in the paper label production process, including printers, label designers, marketing experts, and branded goods manufacturers. Entries can be submitted in three categories: (1) beer/shandy; (2) mineral water/soft drinks/non-alcoholic; (3) wine/spirits/confectionery/cans, etc. The Golden Label Award for technical excellence and innovation as well as the Golden Label Award for the best marketing idea (design, creativity), also will be presented. Finally, there will again be a special prize based on e-voting. This prize was so popular in 2007 that the Internet site where all the labels were displayed actually received 100,000 hits.

The deadline for entries is April 30. Internet voting will run from April 1 through April 30 (entry deadline for the public poll is April 10).
