IP Bumps Containerboard Prices

International Paper Co., Memphis, Tenn., USA, reportedly has raised containerboard prices by $60/ton, effective April 1. Mark Wilde, senior analyst with Deutsche Bank, notes that "this is not a surprise," adding that Georgia-Pacific, Atlanta, Ga., USA, already has announced an export hike for March, "and export hikes are often precursors to domestic ones."
