During PaperCon 2010 in Atlanta this week, paper industry veteran Bob Vyse donated his personal library to TAPPI's new library at the organization's headquarters in Norcross,Ga., USA. In the photo below, Jeffrey J. Siegel (right), chairman of TAPPI, thanks Vyse for the donation.
Considering that today collections of paper industry technical information are going to the recycle bin at many institutions, TAPPI's new library is functioning as a "safe zone" for intellectual capital that has built up over the past 50+ years. If you know of collections of pulp and paper or packaging related materials that are being disposed of, please contact David Bell at TAPPI, dbell@tappi.org, or (770) 209-7209.
