M-real Hikes Cartonboard Prices in Europe

Also driven by strong demand and increased input and transportation costs, M-real, Finland, reported this week that it will raise the price for all of its cartonboard grades, effective October 4. The increase is EUR 100 per ton in continental Europe and £100 per ton in the U.K. As with its white-top kraft linerboard, the company says it will also start negotiations with customers regarding shorter payment terms.
