SCA Completes Acquisition of Copamex

SCA, Stockholm, Sweden, has completed its acquisition of the Copamex diaper business in Mexico and Central America. The purchase price is roughly equivalent to $50 million on a debt-free basis. The company already has several strong market positions within the hygiene products segment, with its tissue, feminine and incontinence protection products. The acquisition adds diapers to SCA's product portfolio in Mexico and Central America.
A global hygiene and paper company, SCA develops and produces personal care products, tissue, packaging solutions, publication papers and solid-wood products. SCA products are sold in 100 countries. Sales for 2009 were SEK 111 billion (EUR 10.5 billion).
