Caraustar Adds Freight Surcharges on Uncoated Mill Grades, Products

Caraustar Industries, Atlanta, Ga., USA, this week announced that it will implement freight surcharges on all shipments of uncoated mill grades and products. The freight surcharge will be $0.65 per mile and will be effective with shipments on and after April 4.
Greg Bartlett, vice president sales and marketing of the mill group said that "carriers have increased rates for many freight lanes recently, and fuel surcharges have increased dramatically. We must implement this freight surcharge and will monitor it on a monthly basis."
