Caraustar Hikes Folding Carton Prices

Caraustar Industries, Atlanta, Ga., USAA, this week announced a price increase on all folding carton products, effective with orders placed on and after March 28. The company did not specify the amount of the increase. Mark Maley, VP Consumer Packaging said that "2011 continues to be a difficult operating environment for manufacturers. We have experienced continued escalation of input costs on paperboard, corrugated packaging, freight, and fuel, among other things. This price increase is necessary to recover those escalating costs."
