Caraustar Hikes Tube and Core Prices

Caraustar Industries, Atlanta, Ga., USA, will increase its tube and core prices by 3% to 5% effective with shipments on or after June 27. Caraustar notes that the increase is due to higher raw material and adhesive costs, along with significant escalation in transportation costs.
Caraustar serves the four principal recycled boxboard product end-use markets: tubes and cores, folding cartons, gypsum facing paper, and specialty paperboard products.
