U.S. Containerboard Output Rises

U.S. containerboard production in May rose compared with April 2011, with month over month average daily production up 0.3%, according to the AF&PA (Washington, D.C., USA) May 2011 U.S. Containerboard Statistics Report released this week. The containerboard operating rate for May 2011 was down 1.5 points over May 2010, to 93.8%.
Additional key findings from the report include:
- Linerboard production decreased over last year
- Corrugating medium production rose slightly over May 2010.
