Andritz Acquires Iggesund Tools

Andritz, Graz, Austria, has acquired Iggesund Tools International AB, headquartered in Iggesund, Sweden, including its subsidiaries in the U.S., Canada, and other countries. The acquired companies have approximately 160 employees and generate annual sales of about EUR 25 million. The purchase price was not disclosed.
Iggesund Tools, now Andritz Iggesund Tools, supplies wood chipping and debarking equipment (mainly chipper knife systems) for pulp and saw mills. Andritz noted that its Pulp & Paper business area is thus strengthened and its service offerings in the wood processing area are complemented by the acquisition.
