VIDA Selects Noss Cleaning System for New Dissolving Pulp Capacity in Sweden

VIDA Paper, Sweden, is set to begin producing some 28,000 metric tpy of new dissolving pulp capacity at its Lessebo mill in Southern Sweden this fall and has selected Noss AB, Sweden, to provide new cleaning equipment for the line. According to Noss, the mill will install a Radiclone hydrocyclone system for cleaning and thickening. Noss notes that the Radiclone is a proven concept used when demands for cleanliness are in the high or very high range. Also included in the delivery is a Radiscreen-C protection screen. The new cleaning system will be started up in early August.
VIDA Paper belongs to VIDA AB, Sweden's largest privately owned sawmill company. VIDA Paper currently is producing sulfite pulp as well as white and natural colored uncoated premium paper. The company also produces colored uncoated wood free paper and wood free digital paper. In connection with its new dissolving pulp production, the Lassebo mill also decided to invest in improved cleaning of its bleached sulfite pulp.
