Södra, Sweden, reports that it has published a comprehensive but "easily-digested" guidebook on financial risk management in the pulp market. The financial market of pulp – for people in a hurry takes a deliberately light-hearted approach to a subject, "the complexities of which can deter many a would-be trader," the company notes.
The 55-page volume covers the pulp market from the concept of risk to advice on hedging strategies in the real world of pulp.
"This is ideal material for a train or plane journey," said Södra Cell Hedging Manager Linda Claesson. "Risk management in the pulp industry is remarkably undeveloped, which is perhaps surprising considering pulp's history of price fluctuation. We hope that our little book will help demystify the subject of hedging, and help people make informed decisions about their buying strategies."
