Arctic Paper, Poland, has announced a price increase for all of its uncoated woodfree (UWF) and coated woodfree (CWF) paper grades, in sheets and reels. Effective beginning March 15, the increase will be 5% - 6% and will differ from the current price levels per country and paper grade.
The company notes that during the past year it has implemented several measures to further reduce costs and increase efficiency. However, current manufacturing cost levels and cost increases for transportation and raw material, it adds, have made a paper price increase unavoidable.
Arctic Paper is the second-largest European producer of bulky book paper in terms of production volume, and one of Europe's leading producers of high-quality graphic paper.
