In 2014, the global containers and packaging market is forecast to have a value of $493,479.5 million, an increase of 17.4% since 2009.
The global containers and packaging market grew by 0.3% in 2009 to reach a volume of 266.2 thousand tons, the report notes. In 2014, it adds, the global containers and packaging market is forecast to have a volume of 307.1 thousand tons, an increase of 15.4% since 2009.
Paper is the largest segment of the global containers and packaging market, accounting for 40.8% of the market's total value.
The Americas account for 38.8% of the global containers and packaging market value. Tetra Lavel is the leading player in the global containers and packaging market, generating a 3.3% share of the market's value.
