Alier S.A. Contracts Maintenance Services to Voith

As part of a strategy to secure its future position by concentrating on producing and marketing paper, Spanish producer of recycled paper Alier S.A. has contracted Voith Paper of Germany to take over the complete maintenance of its stock preparation, paper machines, finishing, and water treatment facilities at its Rosselló site in Spain, for a minimum of five years.
The performance-based resident maintenance contract includes, in addition to daily maintenance operations, implementation of a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) that continuously provides necessary information for preventive maintenance, shutdown management, and material functions.
With this cooperative contract, Alier S.A. benefits from Voith Paper's process and technology know-how and the pool of worldwide available process and service specialists for recycled fibers and papermaking. From this collaboration, Alier S.A. expects increased machine availability and an improvement in the efficiency of its enrtire papermaking process.
