"Forests: the Heart of a Green Economy" Event Set for June 18 in Rio de Janeiro

The International Council of Forests and Paper Associations is inviting all interested forest sector stakeholders to take part in "Forests: the Heart of a Green Economy," a full day event on June 18 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The event is being co-organized by FAO, ICFPA, BRACELPA, and other partners. HSH Prince Albert II of Monaco will be giving the opening speech, while the main themes of discussion will be:
- The Role of the Forest Sector in Emerging Bio-Economy
- Forest Certification: A Paradigm Shift in Green Economy
- Contributions of the Forest Industry in Rural Development.
The event will be held at the Ribalta Conference Center, situated on Avenidas das Americas-pista Centra, in Rio de Janeiro. More information about the program, speakers, venue, and registration is available online. Online registration is also available through June 11.
