Dairy Packaging in Canada Grew By 2% in 2011

Although dairy volumes in Canada did not grow dramatically in 2011, overall dairy packaging grew by 3% in that year, to reach 5.0 billion packaging units, which compares to a volume CAGR during the review period of 4%, according to a new report by Research and Markets, Dublin, Ireland. Titled Dairy Packaging in Canada, the report shows that within the dairy category, drinking milk is a mature market in Canada and is a staple in most Canadian consumers' shopping lists. It also shows that unit volumes of drinking milk packaging grew by 2% in 2011, which compares favorably with the review period volume CAGR of 2%.
