Andritz Acquires Allied Environmental Solutions in the U.S.

Andritz, Graz, Austria, this week acquired Allied Environmental Solutions Inc. (AES), Columbia, Md., USA. AES has some 40 employees and generates annual sales of approximately EUR 30 million. The purchase price was not disclosed.
AES, now renamed Andritz Environmental Solutions (AES), is a supplier of air quality control systems for utilities and various power generating industries (e.g. fossil-fired power stations) in the U.S. AES provides a comprehensive product and service range of flue gas cleaning technologies, including circulating fluid bed (CFB) scrubbers, fabric filters, wet and dry electrostatic precipitators, and selective catalytic reduction (SCR) systems.
With the acquisition, Andritz Energy & Environments (AE&E) strengthens its flue gas cleaning portfolio and has entered the U.S. market.
