AstenJohnson Acquires VIB Systems in U.S., Germany

AstenJohnson, Charleston, S.C., USA, has acquired the assets, intellectual property, and order backlog of VIB Systems Inc, Tucker, Ga., USA, and VIB Systems GmbH, Maintal, Germany. The U.S. group will be integrated into Paperchine as a separate product line and will continue to market the VIB brand. It will be headed by Jack Audas, the current GM of VIB Systems.
In Germany, AstenJohnson has formed Paperchine Germany. This company will continue to operate at the current VIB site in Maintal. The German company will be led by Jürgen März and Johann von Asten as temporary GMs.
VIB Systems engineers and designs steamboxes, moisturizers, and provides service and spare parts to the paper and corrugated industries. This acquisition is in-line with AstenJohnson's goal to strengthen the Paperchine business, the company notes.
