Canadian Paper, Paperboard Industry to Increase in Value to $5.4 Billion by End of 2016

The Canadian paper and paperboard market had total revenues of $6.1 billion in 2011, representing a compound annual rate of change (CARC) of -15.2% between 2007 and 2011, according to a new report issued this week by Research and Markets, Dublin, Ireland, titled Paper and Paperboard in Canada.
Market consumption volumes decreased with a CARC of -12.6% between 2007-2011, to reach a total of 4.8 million metric tons in 2011, according to the new report. The performance of the market is forecast to decline further but with a slower pace, with an anticipated CARC of -2.2% for the five-year period 2011 - 2016, which is expected to drive the market to a value of $5.4 billion by the end of 2016.
