Disley Tissue Starts up Metso Yankee Hood, Dust Control System at U.K. Mill

Disley Tissue, U.K., reports that the Metso (Finland)-supplied Advantage AirCap hood and Advantage WetDust system at its mill near Manchester has successfully started up. The Advantage AirCap hood, based on best energy saving principles, is designed to increase production without affecting current energy consumption. The Advantage WetDust system employs a fully wet system to capture dust at the source by encapsulating it in water.
The installation of these two systems will help Disley Tissue decrease its environmental impact by optimizing the process and improving working conditions.
Disley Tissue operates in association with Connect Hygiene Products Ltd and Peter Grant Papers Ltd to provide high quality tissue parent reels and converted tissue and towel products. The company is a supplier in the away-from-home market with a production capacity of 35,000 metric tpy of tissue and some 7 million cases of converted products.
