U.S. Boxboard Output a Mixed Bag

Total December 2012 boxboard production in the U.S. increased by 6.4% compared with December 2011, but decreased 0.4% from November 2012, according to the AF&PA (Washington, D.C., USA) December 2012 U.S. Paperboard Report published this past week.
Unbleached kraft boxboard production increased over the same month last year and increased compared with November 2012. Total solid bleached boxboard and liner production increased compared with December 2011 and increased compared with November 2012. The production of recycled boxboard increased compared with December 2011 but decreased when compared with November 2012.
